AF Canyon just opened, so we were excited to hit the trails. We planned a trip with our friends...they led the way. At first, the rain started coming down and it felt like a cold, miserable shower. We found a nice pine covered spot to pull over and have dinner. They made yummy taco soup to share. We were so happy to have a warm meal to eat.
After warming up and drying off, we noticed the rain stopped and we headed back out on the trails...
...until we hit snow. I thought that would stop us...
...it didn't.
The kids all got out and played in the snow.
It was more snow than we had all year down in the valley.
Ka couldn't believe it.
These two guys didn't want a little snowbank to stop them,
So they plowed right through it.
And explored the trails above before we joined them again. The kids didn't mind a few extra minutes in the snow.
We made it to a good viewpoint before we had to turn around.
Good family time spent with good friends. Happy day!
